No doubt not quite what Alfred Wainwright had in mind when his first book was published in 1973 of his two feet traverse; followed in 1994 by the two-wheel navigation in the form of the C2C (Sea 2 Sea). Modern times sometimes requires a modern mode of transport.
Starting on the West Coast, just south of Ravenglass we traverse some of the finest trails and tracks the North of England has to offer (sorry Northumberland) finishing on the East Coast of the North Sea. This Adventure Tour over 3 days, with camping included is a Mini Overlanding Experience. A must do, blending green roads with minor ‘B’ and ‘C’ roads to accomplish the tour, with a Relaxed & Scenic theme of green roads, suitable for the majority of 4×4’s.
Overnight accommodation is within the theme of overlanding, using modern campsites. Two nights camping is included in this tour based on two people in one vehicle with either a ground or roof top tent. Please contact us for alternative accommodation options.
Our routes take us across the stunning and varied terrain including the North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Eden Valley, Westmorland and The Lake District through the Wyrnose and Hardknott Passes.
As good practice your 4×4 should have accessible recovery points at the front and rear. We strongly advise that your vehicle has a full size spare wheel; space savers and/or repair kits are not recommended.
