This gentle tour runs parallel to Hadrian’s Wall in places with views along the Tyne Valley with trails following the North and South Tyne Rivers. Bordering three counties the Tyne Valley, most famous for being home to Hadrian’s Wall, has countless experiences and breath-taking scenery to be discovered. Over 2,000 years have passed since the Emperor Hadrian gave his orders for work on the 84-mile-long Wall to commence, yet the 73 miles of this Roman mega structure that snake across Northumberland’s craggy bluffs and high ridges are some of the best preserved sections.
This tour is in keeping with our relaxed and scenic tours on clear days with scenic views over the Tyne Valley and Low Northumberland. This tour will either start at Blanchland (or Hexham) and end near to Bellingham or vice versa
