The English Lake District was awarded World Heritage status in 2017 and what better way to see it than from the comfort of your own 4×4. Two days spent in some of the most outstanding scenery the North of England has to offer. This Adventure Tour includes two full days driving in the heart of the Lake District and North Yorkshire Dales.
Camping overnight on the Saturday is included in the cost of this tour. As is the Friday should you choose to join us? Please contact us for further information for alternatives close by, if camping is not your thing.
Saturday’s route is starts at the southern end of Lake Windermere, as we make our way northwards through the heart of the Lake District.
Sunday’s trails and tracks combine an element of relaxed and scenic with the odd twist that makes the drive that bit more interesting as we make our way through North Yorkshire’s valley’s and dales to end near Richmond.
All terrain tyres are a minimum, preferably vehicles with high and low ratio gears. However, speak to us first as driver experience can go a long way to negate the need for a low box, especially with an automatic transmission. We strongly advise that your vehicle has a full-size spare wheel; space savers and/or instant repair kits are not recommended for green road driving. As good practice your 4×4 should have accessible recovery points at the front and rear.
