Grand Tours are an ideal opportunity to get out and explore more of the countryside in your 4×4 for more than one day. Grand Tours are firmly based on our brand of Relaxed & Scenic Tours and incorporate accommodation in a hotel, usually with dinner, bed and breakfast. The focus of Grand Tours is making the most of your time to explore the history, nature, surroundings in the comfort of your 4×4, while sharing the experience with a group of likeminded people. And at the end of the day relaxing and reliving the days adventures.

As with our Relaxed & Scenic Tours our Grand Tour ethos is aimed at drivers of all abilities from complete beginner to the more experienced who enjoy getting off the beaten track. Suitable for vehicles equipped with either part time or permanent four-wheel drive they provide a great introduction to green road driving at a relaxed pace; the bug of overland travel is contagious and we do everything we can to nurture it.

The Trails and Tracks we travel are a mixture of terrain to suit your driving abilities and your 4×4. Combined with a relaxed driving schedule, giving you the opportunity to appreciate your vehicle’s capabilities and the surrounding area.

Because of the nature of green road driving we need to make you aware that there is an element of risk of possibly damaging your vehicle and / or its components. However we reconnoiter all our trails and tracks for suitability and safety so both the risk and the likelihood is low.

As good practice your 4×4 should have accessible recovery points at the front and rear. We strongly advise that your vehicle has a full size spare wheel; space savers and/or repair kits are not recommended.

Tours across the English Channel and into Europe heading south to the French and Spanish Pyrenees, Spain, Andorra, French and Italian Alps, Portugal and destinations beyond such as Morocco are all in development based on our Relaxed & Scenic and Grand Tour ethos.

Peddars Way & Ermine Street
“A journey into the history of Norfolk & Lincolnshire this Grand Tour starts in Thetford Forest concluding south of Lincoln. Ermine Street was a major Roman Road in England that ran from London (Londinium) to Lincoln (Lindum Colonia) and onto York (Eboracum). Also known as the Great North Road. However, we pass by some more modern sights in the various RAF and USAF bases on Lincolnshire to conclude the tour just south of Lincoln”.
